Most influential women in British science history


The next activity that I have carried out with my students is about the most important British women throughout history.

On the occasion of Women's Day celebrated on March 8, from the foreign language area we carried out research on British women who have been important throughout history. That's why we've made a timeline where we explain several examples. 
 
To carry out this activity, we have carried out a series of steps:

- First of all, we divide the class into small groups, as I believe that cooperative work is motivating and favors the learning of the students. 
- We assign each group the name of a woman, which they have to investigate by looking for information about her on the Internet. 

- We are faced with the problem of knowing how to select the most important information. The search engine provides us with a lot of content and the student has to first do a general reading (Skimming) and then carry out a more specific reading. (Scanning). 
- In a google document, we copy the most relevant information we have found with its corresponding image. 
- Finally, once we have registered for timetoast, we will proceed to make a time line.

"All About Me" - Read stories online. Create books for kids | StoryJumper   This activity is aimed at having students design a book about themselves. The design of the book is created, they have to fill in with the information that is asked of them. The objective of this activity is for the student to use these structures that will have already been studied.  As an example: My favorite food or game is... We can use this activity as a final product in the first cycle, in which once the vocabulary about food, school, games... can review and use it to do that activity.  This activity will be carried out individually as it is a personal activity for each student.

Welcome you to my blog!
